The orchard mason bee (Osmia lignaria) is a gentle beneficial insect and is a pollinator of many types of fruit trees, including, apples, plums, cherries, raspberries, strawberries, squash, tomatoes and more. It can almost be called "stingless" as they will not sting unless handled roughly or trapped between clothing and skin.
These come as pupae inside a cardboard straw tube that fits into your mason bee house (purchased separately). Just remove one of the straws from the house and replace with the one filled with pupae.
If you are an orchard grower, or have fruit trees, these are a great addition to your other natural pollinators such as honey bees. Watch the boost in your fruit production.
Live mason bees have 6 Bee pupae per tube, 3 tubes per order. (18 bees).
Choose Mason Bee nests in large (105 tubes) or small (35 tubes) sizes.
